Teacher's Recruitment Notification
In exercise of the powers conferred under clause (3) and (7) of rule 11 of the Rules and Regulations of the Association of the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society (KREIS), the Governing council of the Karnataka Residential Educational Institutions Society with the approval of the Government of Karnataka and MoU between National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), here by Make the following Rules for regulating the method of recruitment to the posts mentioned in the Annexure (I-XX) to this notification in the Ekalavya Model Residential Schools_EMRS. It is to state that the affected people submitting any objections or advises after 15 days of publication of below Draft Notification are not considered.
Before completion of prescribed period any person submitting any objections or advises are considered by Government. Any objections or advises are submitted to Secretary to Government, Karnataka Government Secretariat, Social Welfare Department, Vikasa Soudha, Bangalore-560001.
DRAFT NOTIFICATION
Preamble:
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MOTA) was set up in 1999, with the objective of providing more focused approach on the integrated socio-economic development of the Scheduled Tribes (STS), the most underprivileged of the Indian Society, in a coordinated and planned manner. Since its inception, endeavor of Ministry of Tribal Affairs has been to take various initiatives for overall upliftment of Tribals across the country. Amongst these, providing quality education to ST students has been the main focus of the Ministry as educational development is a stepping-stone to economic and social upliftment and is also the most effective instrument for overall empowerment. In pursuance of the goal to impart quality education to ST
students, Ekalavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) have been established which are co-educational residential schools from Class VI to XII. Government of Karnataka has granted permission to KREIS to enter MOU with NESTS and to manage EMRS schools as per their guidelines under the supervision of Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India. Ministry of tribal affairs has sanctioned 12 Ekalavya model residential schools to Karnataka state and all are operational since from 1999.
NESTS, as an autonomous Society under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has been registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860. The National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS), an autonomous organization has been set up to establish and manage Ekalavya Model Residential Schools across the country. Karnataka Residential Education Institution Society- Kreis has signed MOU with NESTS on 15.10.2020 to maintain, control and manage the schools as per the guideline and norms formulated by the NESTS and the Ministry of Tribal affairs, Govt of India. NESTS has taken several initiatives in the recent past to improve the quality of education in the EMRSS. In order to ensure quality teaching in EMRSS, NESTS is conducting a special drive in association with the State Governments to fill up the vacancies of teaching and Non teaching staff. NESTS has formulated Ekalavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) Recruitment Rules 2021 for recruitment of 52 Teaching and non teaching Posts. NESTS has circulated Recruitments Rules to state EMRS societies D.O. letter 18015/1/2017 Grants Dated 12.02.2020, subsequently finalized recruitment rules with amendments in the following documents.
