Heavy rainfall amounts (in cm):: Udupi, Kollur (Udupi dt), Panambur (Dakshina Kannada dt), Balehonnur (Chikkamagaluru dt), Linganamakki (Shivamogga dt) 11 each; Siddapur (Uttara Kannada dt), Siddapura (Udupi dt), Mangaluru (Dakshina Kannada dt), Kalasa (Chikkamagaluru dt) 10 each.
Meteorological situations over the State:
The Low Pressure Area over south interior Odisha & neighbourhood now lies over coastal areas of south Odisha-north Andhra Pradesh & neighbourhood with the associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 7.6 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height.
The off-shore trough at mean sea level from Gujarat coast to Karnataka Coast now runs from Gujarat coast to north Kerala coast.
The east-west shear zone now runs roughly along 20°N tilting southwestwards with height between 3.1 km & 5.8 km above mean sea level across North Peninsular India.
